Electronic prescriptions

Electronic prescriptions are now available. This means your prescriptions will be sent (paperless) directly to your (participating) Pharmacy - no need to collect from the Surgery!

You will need to nominate a pharmacy for us to send them electronic prescriptions.
Contact Reception for details.

Phase 4 Electronic Prescription information

NHS Digital are introducing a new phase in Electronic Prescriptions. From 18th November 2019, patients without a nominated pharmacy will be given an electronic token (also known as a 'printed paper copy') at the GP Practice. The token will be given to patients (or their representative) and can be taken to any pharmacy in england. To read more, please click here

When will my prescription be ready?

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

We will take up to 48 working hours to produce your prescription. However, some pharmacies can now take up to an additional 5 days to dispense medications.

We have no control over this so please speak with your chosen pharmacy for more information.

If you wish to change your nominated pharmacy, you can do this via reception or visiting your pharmacy of choice. Some online access apps will also allow a change of nominated pharmacy.
